"Ashiko" by A Horsnell Wade Well, after many requests and much encouragement, I am now on Facebook and have a special "Anna Horsnell Wade Fine Art" page which I hope will provide yet another way to share my artwork and news from the studio. Please visit and suggest to your friends if you'd like. I'll be posting all kinds of art related news so say hello!

Chronicle by A Horsnell Wade Although there is only one week left for the "Art Off the Map" Exhibit at FRED Gallery in Halifax, the Halifax Art Map itself is ready to guide art lovers all year long. The Map and coinciding website (www.halifaxartmap.com) provide a wealth of opportunities to meet a variety of artists, visit their studios and perhaps discover the inspiration behind the artwork. Plan your own treasure hunt. Great art and artists are waiting. Pablo Picasso Last week I had the great opportunity to visit the spectacular Picasso exhibit at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto. As always, there is a world of difference between seeing an actual work of art versus an image of the work. Pablo Picasso was a true genius and an inspiration to so many artists. He began a new chapter in painting and sculpture that shook the established views. His quote, "If you know exactly what you are going to do, what is the point of doing it?" really rings home to me. If you happen to visit Toronto in July or August, don't miss this wonderful chance to experience this very special show of over 150 artworks (paintings and sculpture) by the master. |
