I'm pleased to once again be participating in the Art off the Map group exhibit at FRED Gallery, 2606 Agricola Street, Halifax, NS. This is always a fine exhibit showcasing all of the artists presented on the Halifax Art Map each year. The opening reception is Friday, April 30th at 7pm and the exhibit runs until June 27th.  Look for two of my most recent abstracts, "Triad" and "Cornerstone". Hope to see you there.

Spring has arrived amidst a flurry of activity. This month I received word that my painting entitled "Challenge" has been chosen by the Nova Scotia Art Bank Purchase Program which is always an honour.  As well, four of my paintings have been hung as the inaugural art exhibit at the brand new Woodlawn Public Library in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.  What a great opportunity to show these big abstracts in such a wonderful new public space.  In the last week I attended several great art exhibit openings and a tour of three very diverse art studios.  Always good to get out to see what other artists are creating ... never good to work in a total void I believe.  Now back to my own studio!
