"Where Waters Meet" When you grow up beside the ocean, I think that salt water gets into your blood. I am and always will be a Maritimer, and when I started to paint so many years ago, it wasn't long before I turned to the sea for my inspiration. The varied shorelines around Nova Scotia became my focus for many years, as well as the boats and seafarers I watched for hours. Fast forward to 2026 and I feel inspired once again by my favourite coastline, the Bay of Fundy. Now, however, I am seeing those familiar seascapes in a new way, through the lens of an abstract painter. These new paintings are not so much exact depictions as they are memories and reflections on a place that is near and dear to my heart. This is the place I go when I need time alone, time to rejuvenate, when I want to think deeply, and the Fundy tides and rugged landscape are like medicine to me. The collection is entitled My Fundy Series and I hope it brings you as much enjoyment as I feel creating it.
